The Battle of the Labyrinth by: Rick Riordan
“We plunged into the Labyrinth and kept on running, the Titan lord shaking the entire world behind us” (305). As the world slowly nears its end, Percy Jackson starts his fourth year in the world of the Greek Gods. Kronos, the evil Titan lord, father to Zeus, is rising and has a thirst for revenge. In addition to these major problems, there is one person who can save the world...or destroy it...and that person is Percy. In the Battle of the Labyrinth, fourth book in the Olympian series, Rick Riordan weaves a chimerical tale of adventure, suspense and romance as Percy and his four friends Annabeth, Rachel, Grover and Tyson tackle the overwhelming Labyrinth of Daedalus to slow the army of Kronos and stop him from completely destroying their camp. Who will win, Percy or Kronos? This book is for people of all ages who love action and adventure. It has war for the boys and romance for the girls, so both will love it. Although it is written for a group of younger kids, it has a very well-made and thought-out storyline. The suspense and action will have readers on the edge of their seats and leave them hungry for more.
