The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo is a book about a reporter, recently convicted of libel, who is hired by an old man, to investighate the disappearance of his granddaughter. But there's a problem: she went missing in 1966. Under the cover of helping the man, Henrik Vanger, to write his autobiography, Mikael Blomkvist sets out to uncover the secrets behind Harriet Vanger's disappearance.With help from Lisbeth Salander, an outcast young girl who's mental stability is a bit questionable, they delve into a world of family secrets, of which the Vangers have plenty. This book may start out a tad slow, but after the beginning you won't be able to put it down. A suspenseful crime-thriller, The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo is a book that will leave you wanting more.

This sounds like an interesting read. I think this may be my next book because of the mystery. It sounds a little confusing and gruesome. Overall, this sounds like a great book.

ReplyDeleteI have heard of this novel before, and all the reviews I had read about it raved about it. Also, I know two foreign movies were made of this series, and an American version is going to come out which just proves the incredible amount of success of the book. Plus, I know that the author of this book series passed away before the books came out, and no one really knew why. This further adds a mysterious vibe, which increases my interest in reading it. I would love to read this novel in the future.
