These are the words the sorceress foretold to Rapunzel’s mother a few days before she was born. The book Golden by Cameron Dokey, is a novel chronicling Rapunzel’s tale. As a baby, a sorceress raised Rapunzel because her mother disowned her love for her ignoring what the sorceress had said to her. After a peaceful childhood with the sorceress, her life takes an unexpected turn when a dramatic twist of events happens and Rapunzel is forced to leave her home and most of her belongings. Where to? A tower? Where a girl with beautiful long hair is awaiting to be let out? This suspenseful novel filled with romance and adventure will leave you questioning every thing you ever knew from the fairy tales of Rapunzel.
Sounds like a great book! I would love to read about this new twist on the classic tale of Rapunzel.
