Incarceron by Catherine Fisher

Incarceron by Catherine Fisher, is the story of an "inescapable" prison called Incarceron and the escape attempts of a few select prisoners. Although, the problem is, no one knows where the prison is, besides the warden that is. When the daughter of the warden finds a key, she is mysteriously able to communicate with a boy who says he is inside the prison. In the book, the author writes about her definition of freedom when she says "Only the man who has known freedom can define his prison" (5). Read the book to find out what happens to the boy and the adventure that ensues. Additionally, the sequel Sapphique has recently been released, and if anyone finishes this book, I would recommend the sequel to them if they like this one. I think that this book would appeal to most readers, more specifically readers who like mystery, fantasy, and science fiction stories. I would recommend this book because it was a great story with a few unexpected twists at the end, and I believe many people would feel the same way.

  1. That's an interesting idea for a story. What does Incarceron mean? is it the name of the prison?
