Kindred By Octavia E. Butler

Kindred is a good book lots of action advencher and lots of drama. This is a book you'll find hard to put down. Its about a women name dana, a black woman, celebrated her twenty-sixth birthday witb her husband in 1976 only to be snated abruptly from her home in souther California and transported to the antebellum South. Rufus, the white son of a plantation owner, is drowning, and Dana has been summoned acrosss the years to save him.

  1. I read this book last year, this book got better towards the end of the story. It was sad and amazing at the same time. It is so weird that when traveling back in time she ends up in the deep south during the 1800's.

  2. Last year we read this in History. I did not really like this book. It was strange how the booked moved from 1976 to the Antebellum South.

  3. I remember reading this book last year in eighth, too. It was interesting and gave you a real taste of what it was really like for a black woman in the South back then.
